Fate starts to play her game
Jasmine beamed at the guy approaching her. "Miss, eto ba yung Our Lady of Fatima Church?" he asks. As though under a spell, Jasmine couldn't give an answer. Martin was watching them when the guy's phone rings and he begins talking to his mother on the other end of the line about being in the wrong church. The guy thanked Jasmine and as he was walking back to his car, Jasmine's attention was diverted to Luis' mother who was crying, hugging and thanking her for all her help despite the cancellation of the wedding. Luis, afraid that his mom would see him still drunk, pulled Martin away with him. After Jasmine consoled Luis' mom, she turns around to look for the guy but found no one in the driveway. No dream guy, no Luis and friend (Martin), just flowers on the ground. "Dream guy na nga, naging bato pa," she grumbled.
Pag nanadya nga naman ang tadhana
One fine afternoon, Jasmine and Ana are seated on a bench around a tree talking about attending the wedding of one of their friends and of course their respective love lives. Ana wonders if she'll ever be a bride again, still traumatized about her failed wedding. "Malay mo nandyan lang siya sa likod mo mamaya. Di ba?", Jasmine assures her. Sensing that Jasmine was again pointing out the fortuneteller's prediction, Ana warned her that she might end up an old maid if she keeps on believing in it, to which, Jasmine just let out a heavy sigh. She then mentions that she has never seen Martin again, not even in Ana's wedding where they were supposed to be paired. Ana had to leave early so she invited Jasmine to leave with her. Jasmine declined said she prefers to stay a little longer in the peaceful park than go back to the shop just to find Trey and Cherry fighting-again.
Just as Ana left, Martin walked inside the park and sat at the very same bench Jasmine was sitting, only, he didn't notice Jasmine. She had her back on him and the tree was preventing Martin to see someone else seated on the bench. They both sat quietly and enjoyed the harmony of the park hearing the giggles of excitement of the kids as they played. Suddenly, both their phones ring. Jasmine picks up and her mom was asking her to go back to the shop, while Martin was also being asked by someone on the other end of the line to go back somewhere. "Nandito lang ako sa park. Kayo naman hindi ko man lang kayo maiwan kahit sandali. Sige, sige papunta na ako dyan.", Martin said. With that both of them left the park without noticing each other.
Tips and pointers straight from the wedding veterans
On the wedding of a friend, while waiting for Ana, Jasmine saw a young flower girl in a corner. She approached the young girl and asked her why she was there. The girl didn't reply so she guessed the girl was nervous about being the flower girl. The girl nodded and Jasmine told her about her own experience the first time she was a flower girl. She told the girl that though she tried to hide her anxiety, she ended up tripping during her walk on the aisle. "Nung nadapa ako, wala namang tumawa. So ang ginawa ko, tumayo ulit ako tsaka nag-smile," she continued. She then encouraged the girl to not worry and just smile whatever happens. The girl smiled and nodded and they gave each other a high five. Meanwhile on the other corner, Martin was also giving guidelines and encouragement to the ring bearer. They also gave each other a high five.
Flashback: On another one of the thousand weddings Martin and Jasmine has been together, the young Martin found the young Jasmine seated on the stairs, looking nervous. Martin assured her that it'll be just like the other weddings they've been to and that everything will be okay. Jasmine then revealed that she wasn't nervous about the wedding but that she was sad because her family has decided to move and leave their town. Martin got upset and asked Jasmine if he could kiss her. He asked her to close her eyes but Jasmine was afraid he'd kiss her on the lips just like in the movies. Martin assured her that he wouldn't harm her. Jasmine closed her eyes and Martin got her hand and kissed it. They both looked away. Martin gestured a silent "Yes!" while Jasmine tried to hide her flushed cheeks and her wide smile.
Cherry: payback time!
In the flower shop, Cherry approached Trey and told him that he had to wear a costume for all his deliveries for the day. Trey didn't believe her at first even if Cherry said that their Ate Jasmine personally gave her instructions. Cherry even dared Trey to call and verify with Jasmine, but she also warned that she is in a wedding and might be too busy. Realizing that Cherry might be telling the truth, Trey agreed to wear the costume.
Clumsy lady
Jasmine and Ana went together to the wedding reception but upon entering the area, Ana left Jasmine to say "hi" to a friend she saw inside. As Jasmine waited for her friend, she walked on the red carpet aisle and wondered, "Kelan kaya ako makakalakad sa ganito?". She picks up and smells a white rose from the arranged set of flowers along the aisle. Behind her, a white rose from one of the arrangements also caught Martin's attention. He also picks it up and smells it when he sees Jasmine trip and was about to fall. He hurriedly runs toward her to catch her. As Jasmine felt someone grab her by the waist, a familiar childhood memory flashes back-Martin, the ring bearer and childhood friend, helping her up when she tripped in front of the aisle. "Martin?", she asks. "Jasmine?", Martin asked back with a big smile on his face.
Discovering their shared bond, Jasmine and Martin had a little talk while they walked around the reception area. Jasmine couldn't believe that they've already seen each other in Ana's wedding and yet they weren't aware that they were each other's best friends from their childhood. Martin, on the other hand, couldn't believe she was still frequently tripping ("dapain"). While they were talking, the ring bearer and the flower girl suddenly emerged from nowhere. The young boy was running after the girl trying to shoot her with his water gun. Martin tried to stop the young boy and Jasmine asked the young girl to let go of the water hose she was trying to aim at the boy. In the end, the two kids ran away and left Martin and Jasmine wet. While Jasmine tried to wipe her arms, she again slips. She could've landed on the floor but Martin was again, there to catch her. Jasmine smiled shyly at Martin when she suddenly saw the guy from the church pass by. Baffled, she thought, "Bakit nandito din siya?!"
Table napkin + strong imagination = a bride?
Passing by the buffet table, Martin saw folded white table napkins. Martin got two and offered one to Jasmine to wipe and dry herself up. Though she was afraid the waiters might see them, Jasmine started to wipe her hands and her hair. As she dabbed the napkin on her hair, Martin remarked, "Wow, alam mo para kang bride." Jasmine blushed as she looked at him. Ana then sees Jasmine with Martin. "Oy Jasmine andito ka lang pala! Sino yang lalaking kasama mo ah?!," Ana exclaims. She then realizes that the guy is Luis' cousin. "Pinsan ka ng ex ko di ba?", Ana confirms. Jasmine then informs Ana that the guy was Martin, her childhood friend. Ana looked at Martin suspiciously.
Dindo and Beverly…hmmm.
And Cherry finally scores!
Back at the flower shop, Dindo, (Trey's dad) drops by the flower shop to pick-up Trey. Beverly sees him and tells him he need not fetch Trey everyday for his son is old enough to take care of himself. But Dindo was obviously there not only to pick his son up, but also to see Beverly. And as he was about to tell Beverly his feelings, Trey arrives in his weird costume. Beverly asks him why he was wearing such, and he replied it's because Jasmine wanted him to wear it for his deliveries. Beverly was surprised and told him that she doesn't know of any costume gimmick Jasmine has for deliveries. Cherry enters the shop and finds Trey glaring at her. "Oy Trey nandito ka na pala! Trey: 2 points, Cherry: 1 point!", Cherry teasingly announced and went on with her work.
Be careful what you DON'T wish for. You just might get it.
At the reception, the bride was about to throw her bouquet. Ana wanted to gather around with the other single girls but Jasmine refused to participate. "Nakita mo ba ang itsura ng mga babaeng nandun? Parang papatay ng tao. Naghahanap ka lang ng sakit ng katawan!" Jasmine said. But Ana really wanted to go. "Sumama ka na! Baka mamaya mapagkamalan ka nilang tomboy!", she threatened Jasmine. Jasmine laughed and said, "Oy wag naman!" Ana pulled her out of her chair and Jasmine decided she'd just be standing beside Ana so she would stop bugging her. Despite her refusal to gather with the other girls and much less catch the bouquet, it still landed on her hands. The other girls were envious and because she hated it, Jasmine offered the bouquet away to anyone who wanted it, but no one took it from her.
"Trey's 100 ways to get back at women with false accusations" Scheme 3
Inside the counter, Cherry enjoying a magazine and her spaghetti when the fire alarm suddenly sets off. Realizing that the shop may be on fire, she started screaming, "Sunooooooog! Tulungan niyo kami may sunooog!" She started grabbing things from the counter, plus a couple of bouquets of flowers, and her spaghetti and ran toward the door. She continued to scream when she saw Trey sitting on his scooter reading a magazine. She was trying to tell him the shop was on fire but Trey hushed her and told her: "Shhh! Makinig ka! Trey: 3 points, Cherry: 1 point". Cherry was fuming mad, she almost made Trey eat her plate before she went back inside.
After getting an unwanted bouquet, Jasmine found herself dancing with Martin, who was the one who got the groom's garter. When Jasmine mentioned how funny it was that Martin also caught the groom's garter, Martin asked her, out of the blue, that it maybe a sign. As Jasmine pondered on the thought, the guy from the church approached them to ask Jasmine to dance. Martin easily gave way for them to dance and the guy introduced himself to Jasmine. "I'm Edward," he said reaching out his hand for a handshake. Jasmine shyly extended her hand and introduced herself with a smile, "Uh, Jasmine." As they danced together, Jasmine kept looking back to Martin but she couldn't see him anymore.
Biyaheng Pasig!
As they were leaving the reception, Ana asked Jasmine if she wanted to ride with her. Jasmine declined because she didn't want to trouble her friend for her house was out of Ana's way. After hearing that, Edward and Martin instantly, and at the same time offered to take her home. Before Jasmine could react, Ana reminded the guys, "Kung sino man sa inyo ang maghahatid kay Jasmine, mag-iingat kayo ah." When Ana left, Jasmine asked Martin and Edward if any of them lived near Pasig. Edward said he lives in San Juan, while Martin lives in Manadaluyong. Jasmine couldn't decide since both areas were of equal distance away from Pasig. Before she could decide, Martin already said that it would be better if she went with Edward since the guy has a car and he would only be riding a taxi. Jasmine asked him if he was sure about it and he said it was okay. So Jasmine went with Edward and Martin was left sadly wishing he could be the one take Jasmine home.
